I just hit snooze
Sleep was the last thing I had to lose
In my dreams was a face
That I just couldn’t place

Into a nightmare
Alone in my bed
Planning my funeral just to
Get a step ahead
In my dreams, I was safe

I was bruised, battered and scarred
It was so hard getting out of the bed In the morning

When I first met you,

From nighttime trances that I
Could not erase
I could see what they mean
By the girl of your dreams
But it seemed

Never feel a love so deep

When I was asleep

My alarm took away
